Start by forming your army and securing your half of the main passageway (and making suitable defenses for the other ways just in case). Build a gate tower and rally it. Get a suitable ranged unit and start spamming. Zerd often work the best early on as they can be made quickly and their special can be spam abused on enemy bases.
