Duals. Duals. Duals.
At first glance, Dual Sword DPS seems to only match that of 2H Swords. Their damage is lower, but they attack faster. In the eyes of many players, it's an aesthetic choice, and quite a few choose 2H. Here you can get the most secure Shaiya powerleveling.
Here's the kicker. You can miss with one dual and hit with the other. This greatly raises your average DPS in PvE and helps in PvP(Shaiya Money) when chasing kiters. If you miss with a 2-hander while chasing down a stubborn Assassin, there's no way to recoup the loss of damage. Wielding duals increases your likelihood of connecting with a final slash.

Lapis
Lapis choices can and should vary with your build, but here are some Lapis you include whenever possible.
Note: Multiple Lapis of the same type do not currently stack within one item.
Craft Lapis (STR)
This should be self-explanatory. STR raises your damage.
Life Lapis (HP)
A flat HP bonus is always a good thing.
Safe Lapis (REC)
Very useful, for the same reasons as Life Lapis.
Shrewd Lapis (DEX)
Bonuses to my Hit %, Evasion, SP and damage?
Also consider Lapis with bonuses to SP and Attack. If you're completely finished with those, throw in some Wisdom. Raising your MP and Magic resistance always helps.
