However, when you raise the amount of damage you want to deal to something like 1,000 (again using the minimum damage formula), the original Sabre example would require 1445 STR (1444.9074), and the 33 Weapon(Maple Story Mesos) Attack formula would require 1401 STR (1401.0662; 44 STR = 1 Weapon Attack). If you happened to achieve a very high level and upgraded your weapon heavily to something with 100 weapon attack, it would only require 461 STR (461.111) to reach 1,000 damage in Maplestory.
If you raise WA to 101, then it takes 456 STR (456.52732; 5 STR = 1 Weapon Attack). As you can see, the difference has once again gotten smaller. Before you rush off and say STR is worthless, you should realize that with 461 STR and 100 Weapon Attack, increasing your STR by just 1 (now 462) will increase the output damage to 1002 (1001.92; 1 STR = 2 Damage).
