Yes, assassin is nice because they cover both reasons 1 and 3 in MapleStory. Then also a cleric is great because wizards are literally useless at boss stage. clerics cover reason 2 and can heal the undead monsters that boss summons and heal the party.

- Cleric 40+
- Bandit 45+
- Spearman 45+ (with HB)
- Bowmen(both types) 45+
- Fighter 45+ (with or without rage, but preferred if over +5atk)
- Page 45+
- Wizard 40+
- Perma Beginners
It doesnt mean that wizards are completely useless. They can be used in stage 5 in top portal and 4 in the top three portals if you cannot find a cleric.
