There have many skills give a bonus % on a single hit in Allods. You can get insane high damage compared to using dual if that hit crits. While a dual may deal the same damage per second as a two hander. Two hander you can get 2 hits in 5 seconds compared to dual that gets 5-6 but all those hits have to go through armor and chance to dodge/block/parry.
If the target has low def then dual works great. You can use them to shred stone shields on mages. But on heavy def things their damage drop to low.
